Why Choose HOUSE Automotive Pasadena?
Pasadena has options when it comes to Porsche repair and maintenance. There are dealerships and a handful of general European shops in the San Gabriel Valley. We built HOUSE to be something different. Our leadership worked at Porsche dealerships, saw clients’ frustrations, and knew there had to be a better option. The answer was HOUSE: a Porsche shop run by Porsche owners serving Porsche clientele.

Independent Porsche Specialists in Pasadena
HOUSE Automotive opened its first location on E. Walnut Street in Pasadena in 2011. Fifteen years later, this shop has become one of the highest-rated independent Porsche service facilities in Southern California, with over 2,000 five-star reviews across Google, Yelp, and Facebook.
Every car that enters our Pasadena bay gets diagnosed with PIWIS, Porsche’s own factory diagnostic system. Generic OBD scanners can’t access Porsche-specific fault codes across PDK, PASM, and high-voltage modules. PIWIS can. That’s the difference between reading and guessing, and we don’t guess.
Our technicians are certified across the full Porsche lineup: 911 (996 through 992), 718 Boxster and Cayman, Cayenne, Macan (gas and electric), Panamera, and Taycan. Whether your car is an air-cooled weekend 993 or a daily-driven Macan S, the care and precision are identical. And bringing your Porsche to an independent specialist doesn’t void your factory warranty. Federal law protects your right to choose where your car is serviced, as long as the work meets manufacturer specifications. Ours does, on every job.
Our Pasadena location is convenient to Altadena, San Marino, South Pasadena, Arcadia, La Cañada Flintridge, Glendale, Eagle Rock, and Sierra Madre. We offer free pickup and drop-off for local appointments, so your schedule doesn’t have to revolve around your service visit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Porsche service cost at HOUSE Automotive Pasadena?
Service pricing depends on the specific job, your Porsche model, engine type, and the parts required. A 718 Boxster oil change is a different job than a Cayenne Turbo oil change. Rather than publish a one-size-fits-all price list, we provide accurate quotes based on your actual vehicle. Contact us with your year, model, and what you need, and we’ll give you a clear number before any work begins. In general, our rates come in significantly below what the Porsche dealership charges for the same work with the same parts.
Does getting my Porsche serviced at HOUSE void my factory warranty?
No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects your right to have your vehicle serviced at the shop of your choice. As long as the work meets manufacturer specifications and uses correct parts and procedures, your warranty remains intact. We follow Porsche factory protocols on every service, use genuine OEM parts, and log all completed work with PIWIS, just like the dealership does.
What is PIWIS, and why does it matter?
PIWIS stands for Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System. It’s the factory diagnostic tool that Porsche dealerships use to communicate with every electronic module in your vehicle. Generic OBD scanners can read basic engine codes, but they can’t access Porsche-specific systems like PDK transmission modules, PASM suspension controls, or Sport Chrono calibrations. Without PIWIS, a technician is working with incomplete information. Our Pasadena shop runs PIWIS on every diagnostic and uses it to reset service indicators and verify completed repairs.
Do you work on all Porsche models, or just 911s?
We service and repair every Porsche model and generation. That includes all 911 variants (996 through 992), 718 Boxster and Cayman, Cayenne (including Turbo and Turbo GT), Macan (gas and electric), Panamera, and Taycan. Our technicians hold certifications across the full Porsche lineup, including specialty certifications on the Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, Taycan, and Macan EV.
How often does my Porsche need an oil change?
Most modern Porsches specify oil service every 10,000 miles or once per year, whichever comes first. Driving conditions can shorten that interval. Track use, short trips in stop-and-go traffic, extreme heat, and extended idle time all degrade oil faster. If you’re unsure where your car falls, our technicians can help you determine the right service interval based on your actual driving habits.
What is a Porsche pre-purchase inspection, and do I need one?
A pre-purchase inspection (PPI) is a comprehensive evaluation of a used Porsche’s mechanical condition, service history, and known failure points before you buy it. We check engine health, transmission function, suspension wear, brake condition, IMS bearing status (on applicable models), and overall vehicle integrity. You get a detailed report that tells you exactly what you’re buying and what future costs to expect. If you’re spending $40,000 to $200,000+ on a used Porsche, a PPI is the cheapest insurance you’ll ever buy.
Do you offer pickup and drop-off for service appointments?
Yes. We provide complimentary vehicle pickup and drop-off within the Pasadena area for scheduled service appointments. We also offer a free shuttle service and can arrange a rental car for longer repairs. Let us know what you need when you book online or call, and we’ll confirm the details for your specific appointment.
What's included in your 2-year warranty?
Our warranty covers all parts and labor performed by HOUSE Automotive for two years with no mileage limit. If a part we installed fails or a repair we performed doesn’t hold up within that window, we address it at no additional cost. Most independent shops and even dealerships cap their warranty at 12 months or 12,000 miles. Ours reflects the confidence we have in our technicians and the parts we use.
Can you handle Porsche performance upgrades and modifications?
Yes. We’re authorized dealers and installers for SharkWerks, IPD, and SOUL Performance. We handle exhaust upgrades, intake plenums, suspension modifications, tunes, and supporting hardware. We’ll talk through fitment, drivability impact, noise considerations, and emissions compliance before recommending anything. Call us with your build goals and your Porsche’s specs, and we’ll map out the right setup.
