This page applies to California residents. It explains how HOUSE Automotive uses cookies on our website and how you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”).

1. Introduction

Our website, houseautogroup.com (the “website”), uses cookies and similar technologies. To keep things simple, we call all of them “cookies” on this page. Some are placed by HOUSE Automotive, and some are placed by third parties we work with.

HOUSE Automotive does not sell your personal information for money, and we do not sell, rent or lease our customer lists. Our website does use advertising tools from Google and Meta that collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the actions you take. California law can treat this as “sharing,” or in some cases a “sale,” even when no money changes hands.

You can tell us to stop at any time. Use the opt-out form in Section 4.1, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or contact us using the details in Section 7. You do not need an account, and we will not ask you to verify your identity to opt out.

We use sensitive personal information, such as payment details, only to provide the services you request.

2. Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store or read certain information on your device using cookies. We group them into three categories, and we also work with a few service providers described in Section 2.4.

2.1 Functional cookies

Functional cookies keep the website running properly and remember your choices, including your cookie preferences. They help pages load correctly and help forms and tools on the website work as intended. Because the website depends on them, we may place functional cookies without asking first.

2.2 Statistics cookies

We use Google Analytics, managed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the website: which pages people read, how they find us and where they leave. We use these insights to improve the website.

We also use CallRail call tracking. CallRail displays a unique phone number on the website so we can see which page or ad led to your call. When you call that number, CallRail records your phone number and call details for us.

2.3 Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies, including the Google Ads tag and the Meta Pixel, record your visits and actions on our website, such as viewing a service page or starting a booking. Google and Meta use this information to measure our ads and to show you HOUSE Automotive ads on other websites and apps. California law calls this “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. When you opt out, we stop loading marketing cookies in your browser.

2.4 Booking and email providers

When you book an appointment through ShopGenie or sign up for our emails through Mailchimp, the details you enter, such as your name, email, phone number and vehicle information, go to that provider so it can process them for us. These companies work on our behalf as service providers. We do not treat this as a sale or sharing of your personal information.

2.5 Embedded videos and maps

Some pages include YouTube videos and Google Maps. YouTube videos load only when you press play. When a video or map loads, Google may place its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy.

3. Placed cookies

Every cookie on our website has a function, a purpose and an expiration period.

Expiration periods below are the longest each cookie is set to last. Some browsers, such as Safari, delete certain cookies sooner. We review this list as our website changes.

4. Browser and device based consent

On your first visit, a banner explains how we use cookies and links to this page, where you can opt out of non-functional cookies at any time. We save your choice in the browser and on the device you used. If you switch browsers or devices, or clear your cookies, you will need to set your preferences again.

If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for that browser. You do not need to do anything else.

4.1 Manage your opt-out preferences

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, enter your name and email address in the form below. We ask for these only so we can apply your request to records connected to you, such as your bookings or email subscription. We will act on your request as soon as we can, within 15 business days at most, and we will wait at least 12 months before asking whether you would like to opt back in.

5. Enabling, disabling and deleting cookies

You can use your browser to delete cookies, block certain cookies or get an alert each time a cookie is placed. The Help section of your browser explains how.

Blocking all cookies may keep parts of the website, such as online booking, from working properly. Deleting cookies also deletes your saved preferences, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.

6. Your California privacy rights

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

To make a request to know, delete or correct your information, email info@hautomotive.com or call any of our shops. We will confirm that we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will let you know and may take up to 45 additional days.

For these three requests, we need to confirm that you are the person the information is about. We may ask you to confirm details we already have on file, such as your phone number or a vehicle we have serviced for you. You may also have an authorized agent submit a request for you. In that case, we may ask the agent to show that you gave them permission.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
