The Porsche Museum’s Upcoming Digital Sound Night
Are you missing the sound of engines? You’re not alone, because due to the pandemic, people all across the globe have been yearning for the glorious sound of the revving of Porsche engines during the Porsche Museums Sound Night.
Thankfully, this year — after a two-year break — Sound Night is back, and it will be held digitally, allowing people all over the world to take part in the live event. Learn more below, and if the sound your Porsche is making is less than satisfying, now is the time to schedule service with the team at HOUSE Auto Group.
When Is Digital Sound Night?
On Saturday, September 18, the Porsche Museum will make history with the first ever digital Sound Night. Best of all, “for the first time, viewers will be able to enjoy the recollections of contemporary witnesses and high-profile figures from the automotive world in German, English and French,” according to the Porsche Newsroom.
In just five months, we’ll all be gathering around to witness a piece of history unfold. There’s nothing that beats the sound of a Porsche engine firing up, and with a number of vehicles from Porsche’s history being featured during Sound Night, you’re sure to enjoy the sound of the engines no matter where you live in the world.
Whether you’re an avid fan of Porsche’s production vehicles or a die-hard lover of their racing vehicle’s, hearing the roar of the engines will put a smile on your face.
Take Part In a History-Making Event
Normally a sold out event, Sound Night has been beloved by those who have been able to attend in the past. For example, 2016’s sound night took on the slogan “From Past to Present,” and involved “current and former racing drivers teamed up with engineers from the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach to present a selection of racing cars at the Porsche Museum” for 1000 visitors. Lucky attendees were able to hear the sound of the engine from the winning vehicle from Le Mans in 1977, the latest 718 Boxster, and many others.
Specific information on this year’s digital event is forthcoming, so although we can’t say for certain what’s in store, our guess is that it’s going to be truly spectacular.
The Porsche Newsroom notes that further details on the event will be posted soon, and if you’re interested in learning more about Sound Night, you can visit www.porsche.com/museum.
